Job Description
This role sits within Veolia's Industrial and Treatment (I&T) division and carries direct responsibility for developing and managing distribution channels across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will focus on Veolia's core technology portfolio including ultrafiltration, spiral wound membranes, ED/EDI/EDR, filters, and standard systems. You will work in close collaboration with Direct Sales, Product Line Management, Commercial Engineering, Field Services, and Chemical Systems and Monitoring teams. You will be tasked with identifying and developing channel partners, distributors, resellers, and OEMs, build executive-level client relationships, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to deal closure.
This is a newly created position, complementing an existing Sales Manager for the DACH region as part of a deliberate strategy to accelerate sales growth. You will work within a matrixed, cross-functional environment and report directly to the I&T Sales Director, DACH and Central Europe. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of industrial water treatment markets, a track record of delivering against commercial targets, and the credibility to engage at senior levels with both channel partners and end customers.
Day-to-Day Duties:
Develop and oversee growth strategies across markets and customer segments, with a focus on industrial applications and competitor retrofit opportunities
Identify, qualify, and onboard new channel partners, distributors, resellers, and OEMs
Take full responsibility for meeting and exceeding operating plan targets
Support channel partners in their daily operations, providing commercial and technical guidance
Apply Veolia's broader product and service portfolio to address customer challenges creatively and effectively
Maintain a consistent focus on internal and external compliance
Participate in operational rhythms and reporting processes that support regional growth and business planning
Build and manage strategic accounts, developing executive-level relationships and long-term client loyalty
Manage the complete sales process including lead generation, opportunity qualification, forecasting, and deal closure
Act as the primary client liaison in warranty claims that require negotiation and problem resolution
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Direct Sales, Product Line Management, Commercial Engineering, Field Services, and CSM
Qualifications
Ideal Skills and Experience:
Experience in the water treatment industry, with a strong preference for hands-on knowledge of ultrafiltration, MBR, EDI, and reverse osmosis
Commercial experience with a clear understanding of market conditions and dynamics within the water treatment sector
Background in planning and executing sales campaigns with measurable outcomes
In-depth expertise in ultrafiltration; knowledge of additional water treatment technologies is advantageous
Experience in channel partner management, including distributors, resellers, and OEMs
Marketing and/or business development experience is desirable
Able to manage and influence stakeholders
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to work across cross-functional and multicultural teams
Fluency in both English and German, written and spoken, to a professional standard
Currently based within the DACH region, with Stuttgart area preferred
Willingness and ability to work remotely and travel as required
A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent industry experience
