Pay Rate: $34.23 to $47.87 per hour.

Position Purpose:
Provides technical electrician and electronic repair skills to ensure the efficient installation and maintenance of the various electrical and/or electronic equipment, devices and circuitry, required to operate the various facilities throughout the project sites.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and check for proper operation of the equipment, devices and circuits throughout the treatment facility.
- Install, repair, and maintain highly technical electrical equipment for the plant including, but not limited to, motors, starters, switches, motorized valves, solid state electronic components, programmable controllers, interlock circuits, conduit, and wiring working on a variety of voltages (AC and DC) and 120v. To 4160V. Electrical circuitry/power delivery systems. Operate and maintain power delivery systems.
- Interpret schematic diagrams for the purpose of troubleshooting and update schematic wiring diagrams.
- Provide technical electrical and electronics repair skills by proficiently operating specialized equipment including but not limited to, forklift, bucket truck, pick-up truck and various hand tools.
- May advise management whether continued operation of equipment, devices, circuits and controls would be feasible or hazardous or whether the installation of new or rebuilt electrical equipment is appropriate.
- Coordinate and direct the activities of other employees assigned to assist electricians in the completion of work assignments.
- Maintain manual and/or computerized work orders and records as directed.
- May perform on-site inspections to determine proper measurement for replacement parts.
- Responsible for inspecting and ensuring that all assigned projects are completed fully and accurately.
- Responsible for general housekeeping of shop, job sites, work areas and other areas as assigned including, but not limited to, sweeping, dusting, mopping and cleaning as necessary to maintain areas to Company standards.
- Observe all on-the-job safety regulations.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions.
- Incumbents may be occasionally exposed to some noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gasses, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents and vibration.
- Incumbents may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water or other liquid materials. Maintain a high level of focus on health, safety and environment, ensuring safety within all activities.
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Five (5) years of experience as an electrician in an industrial environment.
- Two years of related education at a college, trade school or equivalent may be substituted for experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand operating manuals and written instructions, complex wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints and technical materials.
- Knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry and knowledge of treatment plant machines and proper procedures for electrical and HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with electrical codes, principles and theories applicable to the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment to include solid state electronic components and electrical/electronic circuits.
- Knowledge of and to work with power sources from low DC millivolts to 15KV volts AC, both single phase and multiphase circuits.
- Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing Variable Frequency Drive.
- Proficient in interpretation of schematic wiring diagrams.
- Ability to use electrical and other testing equipment to analyze problems.
- Working knowledge of FCC regulations for operation of radios and other communication equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, orally and in writing. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to use a variety of tools including, but not limited, hammers, wrenches, metal snips, electric drill, pipe cutter and bender, and acetylene torches.
- Skill in safe and efficient operation of motorized and non-motorized equipment.
- Working knowledge of the, NEC, NFPA-70E.
- Osha - 10.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to meet risk management guidelines.
- Completion of recognized Apprenticeship program.
