As a Senior Manager Compensation looking to take your career to the next level, this role offers an exciting opportunity to help lead compensation initiatives and play an important role in defining the compensation strategy for various business segments. You'll have the chance to manage end-to-end compensation programs, drive critical initiatives, and make a significant impact within your first year. This position allows you to leverage your expertise in merit increases, Annual Incentive Plans, and equity compensation while developing modern strategies to attract and retain top talent. You'll partner with HR and business leaders to address complex scenarios, lead cross-functional initiatives, and shape the organization's job architecture. With a focus on analytics, compliance, and strategic alignment, you'll have the platform to showcase your skills in project management, leadership, and innovative thinking. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end compensation programs, including merit increases, Annual Incentive Plans (AIP), and equity compensation. Lead the annual merit and budget planning process, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial constraints.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and develop comprehensive reports on salary ranges, pay equity, and other compensation metrics for leadership presentations.

  • Design and implement modern compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent in a competitive market.

  • Manage compensation projects, from ideation to implementation, demonstrating good project management skills and partner with other members of the compensation team to help execute on various projects such as job architecture and grading initiatives, compensation survey participation and management, etc.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to address complex compensation scenarios, offering creative solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to compensation.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that integrate compensation strategies with overall talent management and business objectives.

Your First Year Goals:

  1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Veolia's organizational context, including business units, global operations, and strategic objectives.

  2. Build relationships within the HR team and with key business leaders globally to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of compensation strategies with business needs.

  3. Successfully navigate the full merit cycle, including planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring a smooth and equitable process across the organization.

  4. Mentor and develop direct reports, focusing on elevating their skills and capabilities to enhance the overall effectiveness of the compensation team.

  5. Lead analytical projects, including: Managing incentive accruals to ensure accurate financial forecasting.  Analyzing and reporting on costing synergies related to compensation. Helping develop and managing the merit budget process

  6. Collaborate with the compensation program manager, HR and business partners to assist with the refinement of the job architecture and job grading system, ensuring it aligns with organizational needs and market practices in the segments of focus.

  7. Implement improvements to compensation reporting and analytics, providing leadership with clear, actionable insights.

 

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience with compensation program planning and administration.

  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with compensation systems

  • Growth mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments

  • Detailed working knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and relevant laws and regulations

  • Good hands-on grasp of compensation tools and systems or HRIS systems used for compensation administration.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with international compensation programs or global compensation practices.

  • Professional certifications such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or SHRM-CP/SCP.

  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies and compensation software.

  • Knowledge of global compensation practices for multinational organizations
