Job Description
Veolia's Mobile Water Services business continues to grow and we are looking to add to our team of traveling field service technicians that supports our industrial water and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate would have 3 - 10 years minimum related experiences. An associates degree in industrial maintenance, engineering technology, or environmental sciences is a plus.

Through your travels to local, regional, and national clients, you will gain experiences in power, oil & gas
refinery, chemical process, food & beverage, mining, and steel production. Within these industries, you
will be learning and growing your skills in support of a variety of water treatment processes, mechanical,
electrical, instrumentation, and remote monitoring applications.
Veolia has over 350 proprietary technologies across the full water cycle; drinking water, wastewater, and
sludge management. You will be directly working with sand ballasted clarification, high rate filtration,
ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, ion exchange processes, and specialty chemicals (coagulants, flocculants,
and CIP cleaners).
Starting within the Mobile Water Services team will give you a broad exposure to industries, technologies,
and a huge network of professionals across the globe allowing you to grow within the department or
launch your career within another Veolia business locally or abroad.
Job Description Highlights & Responsibilities
- Provide at deployment; onsite start-up, commissioning, training, preventative maintenance, water analysis, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, cleaning, system optimization, and reporting
- Manage and procure spares
- Manage and perform overhauls, factory acceptance testing, inspections, and rebuilds to water treatment systems
- Manage and supervise various subcontractors
- Work a hybrid and flexible schedule, including home office and travel (client sites / deployments, Veolia HQ, maintenance depots)
- Mostly overnights include 2, 3, or 4 consecutive weekdays; however, occasionally trips include a weekend night and less seldom extend up to 10 - 14 consecutive nights. The travel would include driving regionally and flying elsewhere throughout the US with an average 8 - 12 overnights per month
- Ability and on occasion push / pull 40 lb. RO membranes, lift 50 lb. bags of sand, carry up 90 pounds (two 5 gallon pails) 50 feet
- Ability and on occasion enter, inspect, and work in a confined space
- Build relationships and add value to our internal and external stakeholders
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Management and supervise subcontractors
- Manage and supervise mobilization and demobilizations
- Provide onsite process enhancements to deployed / operating projects
- Provide onsite adjustments to operating parameters of deployed projects
- Consult with customers on questions concerning equipment erection requirements and protocol.
- Place equipment into operation and instruct users in use and care of equipment
- Investigate and correct malfunctions – repair and calibrate when necessary.
- Inspect completed installations prior to placement of equipment into operation.
- Report problems and recommend improvements in design or process.
- Consult with customers on spare parts requirements and assist in procurement.
- When on customer project site, serve as liaison between customers and MWS offices.
- Document all activities for use by marketing, engineering, and procurement staff.
- Provide feedback to the engineering and project management teams as required capturing field changes to the design.
- Ensure that all company, client and project policies, procedures and standards are adhered to and interpret such policies.
- Assist with the implementation and interpretation of safety programs.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the field service manager.
Qualifications
GENERAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3 - 10 years minimum related experiences. An associates degree in industrial maintenance, or engineering technology, or environmental sciences is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge – fundamentals of basic mechanics, electrical, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Ability to utilize, organize, and communicate well within Google Office.
- Ability to climb a ladder and perform elevated work and in a safe manner
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. (at least a heavy membrane, 60 lb. bag of polymer/sand/pail of chemical)
- Ability to perform chemical cleanings and wear the appropriate PPE
- Ability to enter and perform work in a confined space
- Associates degree in engineering preferred or compatible work experience may be substituted for degree.
- Must be organized, good mechanical aptitude, problem solver and self directed.
- Able to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Have experience with PLCs and control instrumentation.
- Computer literate, including proficiency with Google Office.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to rent a car required.
DECISION MAKING
- Work is performed independently with specific procedures and guidelines to follow.
- Duties are somewhat routine, requiring occasional independent action and judgment.
- Decisions and actions are limited to how this job is conducted.
- Work is reviewed weekly.

- Research/reading materials may be needed to solve difficult problems. Requires the ability to develop and/or transform ideas resulting in creation of new methods, processes, and/or services.
