Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
The Country HR Manager acts as a trusted business partner and operational HR leader, responsible for delivering HR excellence while driving organizational strategies. The role enhances employee experience, strengthens organizational culture, ensures compliant HR operations, and supports sustainable business growth aligned with the company’s GreenUp transformation strategy.
This critical role has the following key accountabilities:
HR Operations, Business Partnering & Compliance
- Ensure reliable, compliant HR operations across the full employee lifecycle.
- Maintain regulatory compliance, governance standards, and audit readiness.
- Support organizational agility in a dynamic business environment.
- Provide coaching and guidance to People Managers to build leadership capability.
- Partner with business stakeholders on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
- Provide local HR guidance on employee relations, policies, and engagement.
- Manage contingent worker recruitment, vendor and performance.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned to meet organizational needs and objectives.
HR Projects & Collaboration
- Collaborate with HR domain teams on APAC-wide HR initiatives, projects, and system/process enhancements.
- Execute HR activities including performance management cycles, compensation reviews, and talent development programs.
- Act as a change agent to drive organizational agility and culture transformation under the GreenUp strategy.
- Champion HR digitization and process simplification to enhance employee experience.

Employee Engagement & Talent Development
- Attract, develop, and retain talent through collaboration with HR domain teams and business leaders.
- Support talent reviews, succession planning, and learning & development initiatives.
- Facilitate training workshops and coaching sessions for managers and employees.
- Deliver recruitment, policy guidance, and employee engagement initiative
- Strengthen the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) by building a high-performing, engaged workplace.
- Drive employee engagement surveys (e.g., VOR) and action planning.
- Lead diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) initiatives.Manage contingent worker recruitment and performance.

Country/Cluster-Specific Scope
While the HR Manager role has common responsibilities across APAC, the scope will vary by country/cluster to reflect:
- Local legislation and labor law compliance (employment law, contracts, statutory requirements, and industrial relations where applicable).
- Governance and risk management aligned with country-specific regulations, government reporting, and audit standards.
- Market practices and cultural nuances to ensure effective employee engagement and retention.
- Country-specific cultural and workforce practices – adapting HR initiatives to local employee expectations, labor market conditions, and engagement approaches.
- Alignment with APAC HR strategy – ensuring global policies are localized effectively without compromising compliance or business needs. Balance strategic HR partnering with operational delivery across multiple locations.

Qualifications
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or above from accredited university in HR, Business Management or similar field
- 10 years’ above experience in HR across minimum 2 functions or 3 years above in HR Generalist roles.
- Proven strategic thinker with strong financial and business acumen, in addition to strong execution
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and capable to influence and collaborate with various global and regional stakeholders to drive common goal
- Creative, organized and self-motivated for success
- Possesses unquestioned integrity and strong business ethics and leads by example
- Demonstrates a firm commitment to the company’s values and culture
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams, with effective talent management, pipelining and building of partnership across sub-teams
- Team player with peers to share and implement the best practices
- IT savvy capability
