Job Description
In this role, you are responsible to ensure material fulfillment to our plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong
background in supply chain management within a chemical manufacturing environment, with proficient
knowledge of relevant SAP and/or similar ERP modules and systems. You will interact with, but not limited to,
Sales and Operations Planning, Plant Operations, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Sourcing, Supplier Quality,
Accounts Payable, and Suppliers, to help support production activities and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track fulfillment related KPIs.
- Receive and review order confirmations from suppliers post-PO issuance. Identify and resolve.
- Monitor and track order status to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Communicate with suppliers to expedite, delay (push out), or reschedule deliveries as per production planning needs.
- Coordinate closely with demand, material, production and operations planning teams to align material deliveries with manufacturing schedules.
- Liaise with the Buying team and other relevant functions to resolve Good Receipts and other discrepancies for timely supplier payments.
- Coordinate with internal and external logistics for delivery confirmations, obtaining tracking details, update in SAP for carrier pickups and keep the production team updated on last-mile logistics.
- Address and resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, or delays with suppliers.
- Update SAP and internal stakeholders on order status, expected delivery dates, and any changes.
- Support material planning at the site, ensuring inventory levels meet production requirements.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams for smooth receipt and storage of materials.
- Provide feedback to buyers on supplier performance and delivery reliability.
- Work with quality teams, Suppliers, buyers and plant personnel to manage material quality issues and or returns and exchanges in case of damaged and/or incomplete shipments, leveraging the Company’s systems/ tools and software.
Qualifications
Education/Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable or related field to Sourcing / Procurement / Supply Chain / Business Administration.
- 3 years minimum experience in roles in Purchasing, Operations or Supply Chain, preferably related to manufacturing of chemical products.
- Annual travel required: 10%.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with plant and warehouse teams, senior management, and develop strong relationships with Suppliers. Enjoys working in a team.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large amounts of data for inventory planning.
- Expertise in root cause analysis (RCA) to identify, investigate, and resolve issues through data and analytics.
- High sense of urgency. Excellent follow-up skills. Self-governed and motivated to perform tasks within established guidelines.
- Capable of prioritizing, multi-tasking, systematic and organized approach to daily assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with purchase order conditions, INCOTERMS, domestic and International Logistics.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gmail).
- Experience in SAP, Kinaxis and other ERP and Supply Chain Planning systems.
- Skilled in SAP, ARIBA and other similar systems for Procure to Pay (P2P) lifecycle management.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing processes and Root Cause/Corrective Action Analysis.
