Job Description
The Power and Ozone Equipment Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of power converters, Power Supply Units (PSUs), and ozone generation systems—both as individual components and integrated customer solutions—used in Purification & Disinfection (P&D) markets through testing, troubleshooting, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process & Standards Management:
Implement and maintain assembly procedures and standards for P&D power converters, PSU’s, and ozone generation equipment.
Establish and enforce testing policies, procedures, and standards across all P&D product lines
Review and update test plans for power converter equipment, PSUs, ozone generation systems, and accessories in collaboration with the Technology team
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Execute equipment testing protocols for power converters, PSUs, and ozone generation systems to support production volume requirements
Utilize electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, etc.) to conduct specialized testing to support Technology team troubleshooting and new product development initiatives
Problem Resolution & Continuous Improvement:
Lead root cause analysis investigations for defective P&D components and equipment failures
Identify production risks early in the manufacturing pipeline
Develop and present recommendations for issue resolution and risk mitigation strategies
Drive innovation initiatives to enhance product quality and optimize internal processes for power conversion, power supply and ozone generation systems
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Technology, and Supply Quality teams to resolve technical issues
Engage with external suppliers and customers to exchange information on quality issues and best practices
Document findings and communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with high voltage equipment design, assembly, and testing
Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment, including Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
Demonstrated experience with Power Supply Unit testing, characterization, and validation
Experience with equipment assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
Working knowledge of ERP systems for managing defective materials and quality documentation
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with electrical testing equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power measurement devices
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control loop diagrams, mechanical layouts, and P&IDs
Familiarity with cloud-based troubleshooting, quality management and collaboration applications
Core Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with systematic approach to issue resolution
Excellent prioritization skills in fast-paced manufacturing environments
Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
Effective written and verbal communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (ASSETS):
Advanced knowledge of power converter equipment
Experience with high-voltage systems and ozone generation technologies
Knowledge of ozone safety standards and handling procedures
Experience with root cause analysis methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA) and Lean Manufacturing principles
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
Familiarity with industry safety and compliance standards (CSA, UL, IEC)
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Proficiency in French would be an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Manufacturing environment (8 hour working day, 5 days a week)
May require occasional overtime to support production schedules or urgent troubleshooting
Some international travel may be required

● Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $98,000 - $107,000
