Position Purpose: 

We are looking for a Junior/Intermediate Business Analyst to join our team in Milwaukee and work directly with the Portfolio manager for the DB&T corporate domain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and assessing corporate functions, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing and implementing strategies to enhance business performance.The Business Analyst works within teams to transform business needs into solutions, whether these solutions result in product configurations, product developments, training or process recommendations. The person in this role is expected to perform data analysis out of our existing systems to facilitate our business stakeholders making sound and efficient decisions.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Portfolio manager for the Corporate domain and the direct reports for the CORP domain CIO to analyze and assess corporate functions, including finance, human resources, procurement, technical and performance, communication and legal.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's goals, values, and objectives, and use this understanding to inform strategy development.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address business challenges and opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and make recommendations for ongoing improvements.
  • Understand the business context and business objectives of the project.
  • Works with Product/Business Owners, Project Management and Technical Staff to perform analysis related to the implementation of new or revised business processes and/or new or enhanced internally developed software or third-party vendor software.
  • Gathers and documents functional business requirements to be consumed by the business and technical teams for non custom development projects breaking down larger scope into smaller pieces if needed.
  • Prepare workshops with stakeholders, in collaboration with other team members
  • Analyze the gaps between the current solution and the proposed solution.
  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify the integration of multiple systems, applications, and platforms.
  • Collaborate with software architects, UX designers, and cross functional development teams.
  • Produce quality deliverables such as scope of work, business requirement document, process workflows, specifications document, test plans, and training plans.
  • Follow-up on the requirements lifecycle with traceability from business requirements to testing.
  • Assist project teams during the implementation and deployment phases of solutions.
  • Provide hypercare assistance post delivery.
  • The person in this role will be expected to lead small Scrum Agile projects.
  • Adopt our project management governance and lead by example.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in administration or computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an Application Analyst and or Business Analyst (IT).
  • Preferable experience with ERP systems (SAP).
  • Preferable experience in Agile projects (an asset).
  • Experience in BI (reporting).
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills are highly desired.
  • Solid computer skills: proficiency with spreadsheet, email, and word processing software required; Google suite preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • PMP certification is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular office work environment.
  • Hybrid work - at least 2-3 days in the office - Milwaukee Downtown
  • Limited travel - about once a quarter
