The Process Lead Engineer will be responsible for Sadara Desalination Plant, a 148,000 m 3 /d reverse osmosis plant located in Jubail Industrial City within Sadara Complex. He will ensure that the production and water quality are in accordance with the terms of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contract signed between Marafiq and Sidem/Veolia.

Reporting to the Operation Manager, he will perform all planning tasks related to the operation ofthe Sadara Desalination Plant and water supply in close coordination with the Operation Manager.

  • The Process Lead Engineer supervises and coordinates all water treatment operations activities including processes for coagulation, flocculation, flotation, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, re-mineralization, chlorination and sludge treatment.
  • Directing daily RO plant operation. Maintaining oversight for process control decisions in order to meet or exceed product water quality requirements. Works with staff to evaluate data and coordinate process control changes.
  • Supervising all operations procedures and disciplines employees performing duties daily operation of RO plant in order to operate the plant efficiently.
  • Reporting any abnormality of process equipment
  • Checking closely the laboratory activities on chemical tests for feed water, pre-treated water & treated water.
  • Formulates and initiates or recommends new or improved practices and policies; develops plans and procedures to ensure efficient RO plant operation; recommends RO plant improvements and additions.
  • With Paris Head Office in line with Operation Manager, he shall analyze and evaluate operation of the Plant.
  • Directs studies which are investigating methods of improving operations.
  • Prepares for and respond to water quality emergencies, maintains and update emergency response and risk management plans.
  • Initiates continuous optimization
  • Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; recommends and implements established policies and procedures.
  • Attends and participates in management meetings, professional work related meetings/conferences to enhance professional development.
  • Undertake and prepare training programs and plans to increase the efficiency and skills of departmental employees.
  • Participate an yearly budget for chemicals.

You have minimum a BTEC Higher National Diploma or NVQ Level 4 in chemical and/or biological, or a Bachelor of Science Graduate (Chemical or biological)

A Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering (chemical / biological) is a plus;

and a 4-year experience in water industry

You have In-Depth knowledgeof Dissolved Air Flotation and Membrane Technologies,  Water Treatment systems.
Knowledge of Gulf countries is a plus.

You areflexible (due to the nature of work), an excellent team player, honest, good communicator, Fluent in English: written, reading, spoken?
