Job Description
Several innovative and dynamic project options are available, all focused on implementing continuous upstream quality improvements for our TOC, Endotoxin, and/or Bioburden analyzers and consumables. The internship will involve root cause analysis, data evaluation, CAPAs, QC testing and more.
Responsibilities:
Investigate field failures using customer data and returned parts and test returned parts and collect data
Author Failure Analysis Reports for field failures, and identify upstream quality improvements and corrective actions for each report, via root cause analysis and CAPA exercises
Develop an understanding of testing and production processes and identify key process improvements
Review internal failure modes with the production team to proactively identify areas for improvement and the potential to implement SPC (Statistical Process Control)
Perform Operational Excellence process mapping
Review OpEx findings with production and support teams and identify Critical to Quality improvements and develop implementation plans
Perform QC testing on existing products or new products and trend QC data and provide monthly updates on trends or unexpected results
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Qualities:
Experience and/or coursework related to data analysis and data management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-driven, creative problem solver, and adept at developing solutions in the face of conflicting requirements, business needs, and technical challenges
Proficiency in utilizing various data sources and frequencies
Quality control testing of instruments and components
Familiarity with process monitoring and control through Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree: Currently pursuing Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related

- Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $20.70-$23.50/hour
