The Project Manager (PM) leads the VWTS Insource project team in guiding a team of engineers and professionals who design, build, and manage complex water treatment projects.

As a Project Manager, you assist in the overall success of Veolia’s municipal and industrial equipment and infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Project Team, you coordinate certain activities on a given project and prepare reports for Project Directors. You are a passionate advocate for quality and safety across every aspect of the project and ensure the team delivers on commitments while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget.

The PM operates in a networked and highly flexible role. The position favors a creative, skilled communicator who approaches problems analytically and with intellectual rigor. While the PM is not a technical backstop in all water treatment design areas, the role requires a foundation in engineering principles. Most importantly, though, the PM is able to follow up with a team of experts and possesses a well-developed sense for when and where guidance is needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with the VWTS Insource execution team to ensure project deliverables comply with contract and Health, Safety and Environment requirements.
  • Highlights to the Project Directors areas where the Project team are not meeting the expected outcomes.
  • Liaise with the vendors or clients on VWTS Insource execution team deliverables Project Manager.
  • Attends all key project meetings and participates as needed
  • Maintains the engineering budget and schedule for the VWTS Insource Project Team.
  • Regularly coordinates with Lead Engineers and Engineering Managers to ensure deliverables are on time, with quality, and on budget.
  • Develop, review, and present change opportunities to Project Directors.
  • Supports the VTWS Project Sourcing team to ensure equipment costs are thoroughly evaluated and supports in opportunities to maintain equipment budget.
  • Prepares and presents engineering status reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Technical Knowledge, process equipment design and assembly.
  • Understanding of the engineering process.
  • Understanding of strategic sourcing processes.
  • Planning and scheduling.

Preferred (if applicable):

  • Experience managing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts preferred.
  • Experience in industrial process system design/construction, specifically water treatment.
  • PMP certification.

Experience:

12-15 years’ of experience in Project Management or Engineering.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
