Job Description
Position Purpose:
Performs various specialized accounting functions of complex nature and ensures that procedures and practices are being followed in accordance with Company policy, accounting principles, and contractual requirements. Prepares internal detailed reports. Coordinates outside audits and performs SOX audits. Works directly with Headquarters providing comprehensive reporting such as Vector financial reports.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
- Works directly with HQ preparing monthly Vector financial reports in addition to other required reporting.
- Monitors employee time reporting. Works directly with HR and the Payroll Department to submit bi-weekly payroll reports. Tracks and audits benefit time.
- Coordinates all outside audits. Performs SOX audits. Ensures the accuracy of information and compliance with established accounting principles and Company policies.
- Prepares journal entries, reconciling accounts and analyzes general ledger. Responsible for coordinating routine Balance Sheet Reviews
- Reconciles VIE accounts.
- Issues I/C non project invoices. Resolves I/C disputes as necessary.
Work Environment:
- Spends most of time in an office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required for training activities.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Five to seven years experience. Must have broad knowledge of accounting concepts, accounting office practices and procedures usually obtained through either college courses or equivalent commercial experience.
- Computer skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and accounting systems software. Ability to develop complex spreadsheets and modify formats in order to complete assignments.
- Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.

- Must adhere to departmental policies, schedules and deadlines.
- Plans and carries out successive steps and resolves problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, and accepted practices.
- Assistance is provided with unusual situations that do not have clear objectives.
- Suggest improvements to processes and/or procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Regularly assists others in the resolution of problems and issues.
- Regular contact with all functional areas to communicate and resolve issues.
- May have frequent contact with governmental authorities and/or auditors to clarify, obtain or furnish information and to resolve problems.
- Must possess above average organization and communication skills required to interact with multiple internal and external contacts.
- Effective written communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar and the ability to independently compose routine written communications.
- Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Must have the ability to handle diverse tasks simultaneously and be able to work effectively with interruptions and meet strict deadlines. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Must be familiar with keyboarding and general office equipment.
