Job Description
This role controls the logistics activities from order entry till customer delivery, including the order confirmation and follow up, the outbound transportation and customs activities within the EMEA region ES (Engineered Systems) related shipment, delivered on Sales Order or Intercompany Purchase Orders.
Shipping coordinator is responsible for overseeing the delivery of incoming goods and ensuring that they comply with customs regulations.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Organization of import/export shipments, quotation requests
Cooperate with planning department, warehouses, sourcing and shipping
Preparation of documents (pack list, invoice, CMR, etc.)
Maximize On-Time-Delivery KPI metric (OTC – On Time to Confirmation)
Cooperate with other departments in all logistics related issues
Track shipments till completion and report tracking information to related parties
Arranging customs clearance with an import/export broker
Responsible for effective communication with our vendors, freight consolidators and carriers for scheduling appointments, tracking and tracing, research and follow up
Support and cooperate on freight tenders
Audit and approve freight invoices
Actively manage drop shipments into EMEA region
Maximize On-Time-Delivery KPI metric (OTC – On Time to Confirmation)
Cooperate with other departments in all logistics related issues
Track shipments till completion and report tracking information to related parties
Qualifications
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Economics – preferably in Logistics specialization
Minimum of 2 years Logistics and International Trade experience (incoterms, customs regulations)
Solid understanding of global transportation modes and process
Active Business English and Hungarian communication skills oral and written
Experience within a Transportation environment is required
Effective communication skills
Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines and make decisions
Problem solving skills. ability to multi-task, good team worker
