Job Description

Position Purpose: 

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that Alaron’s services meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. The established standards may include: ISO, ANSI, ASTM NACE, SSPC, NRC 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and other standards.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Contributes information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Prepares and completes action plans.
  • Implements quality and customer standards.
  • Achieve operational objectives by determining system improvements and implementing change.
  • Develop quality assurance plans by monitoring procedures and corrective actions, verifying procedures, and monitoring inventories.
  • Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, documenting evidence, writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Maintain and improve quality by completing audits and surveillances, investigating customer complaints, and conducting quality related training for co-workers.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Participate in educational opportunities and participating in professional organizations.
  • Accepts ownership for accomplishing new and different requests .
  • Maintain Alaron’s Approved Vendor List.
  • Reviewing customer requirements and ensuring they are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background: 

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in similar field or equivalent.
  • Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience.
  • Experience with the implementation of corrective action programs.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong computer skills to include MS Office and other databases.
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of nuclear related quality assurance requirements.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Critical thinking in judgment and decision making.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training: 

  • Lead Auditor already obtained or will be within 2 years of attaining position.
  • 40 hour Radiation Worker Certification.
