We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Marketing Manager who will be based in Pasaruan/Surabaya, Indonesia to drive our rPET business growth in Indonesia, Southeast Asian markets, Europe, North and South America . The ideal candidate will develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to expand our market presence in the recycled PET pellets sector.

 

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for rPET pellets.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts (beverage companies, packaging manufacturers, etc.).

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with domestic and international clients.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to optimize pricing strategies.

  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure customer specifications are met.

  • Arrange and coordinate export duties with shipping companies.

  • Improvement in the sales process. Issue of SOPs and templates (e.g., quotation calculation, quotes).

  • Odoo improvement process. Evaluation and proposed further development from quotation until delivery of sold products. Review sales data in Odoo to improve reporting.

  • Finding new customers (off-takers) for our by-products (e.g., PP, PE, PVC, and any other scrap materials) to mitigate our feedstock yield loss.

  • Prepare and attend regular customer meetings.

  • Coordination and supervision of sales supervisors.

  • Provide training and development to team members to improve performance and achieve our goals.

 

Marketing Management:

  • Create and implement marketing strategies for rPET products.

  • Develop compelling value propositions highlighting sustainability benefits.

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and conferences and continue to build up our customer network.

  • Create marketing materials and technical documentation.

  • Build brand awareness in the sustainable packaging sector.

  • Identify new market opportunities in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, Europe, North- and South America.

  • Develop strategies to penetrate new market segments.

  • Track and report on market trends and customer requirements

  • Survey and monitor the rPET market with our competitors. Prepare and update a commercial and technical comparison table of our competitors within Indonesia and our other Veolia sites to understand our market position and sales price.

 

Customer satisfaction

  • Follow up and close in a timely manner on customer requests and complaints for good communication and feedback.

  • Introduction of Veolia’s Traceability application. Assist our local team during the development stage and work closely with our local feedstock and sustainability team.

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience with at least 5 years of experience in the recycling industry, specifically in rPET or plastic recycling sector

  • Proven track record in international business development, particularly in Southeast Asia, Europe, and Americas

  • Experience with ERP systems (specifically Odoo) and CRM platforms

  • Demonstrated success in managing key accounts and developing new business opportunities

  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills

  • Proficient in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans
