As a Software Developer at Veolia DB&T Belux, you'll join a development team tasked with maintaining and enhancing both current and future products.
- User Interfaces:
- Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining dynamic web elements, integrating them with server-side logic, and constructing reusable components across our product range.
- Backend Solutions:
- You'll be tasked with developing and maintaining robust backend logic for reliable and scalable systems, always considering speed, reliability, and data.
- Quality Code:
- You're expected to write reusable, efficient code and conduct automated tests to uphold our high-quality standard.
What are your main tasks?
- Coordinating and monitoring operational activities and contractual SLAs and KPIs
- Ensuring the correct implementation of contractual waste activities on the field
- Managing projects related to waste management
- Participating in client meetings about new needs, cost savings, and various operational optimizations & actions
- Performing audits of the infrastructure and organization of clients to optimize waste management
- Organizing training sessions and awareness campaigns about waste management
- Preparing reporting on the progress of operational waste activities
- Analyzing complaints and non-conformities and proposing corrective measures
- Optimizing the layout of the recycling park
- Daily monitoring and tracking of action plans, financial and management KPIs Inventorying and identifying unknown waste substances to propose innovative processing and recycling possibilities
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize waste collection Job requirements
What do we expect from you?
- A bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a similar field is required
- You must have proven experience in both front-end and back-end development, including skills in Javascript, Typescript, SQL, Python, etc
- Experience with Docker and cloud services of AWS and Azure
- You must possess excellent analytical skills, with a meticulous attention to detail and quality.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential
- A willingness to continuously learn, grow, and stay updated with the latest industry trends is crucial
- You should be able to provide insightful design and code reviews
- You must have a strong proficiency in spoken and written English. Dutch and/or French are a big plus
- Being a team player, you should be comfortable collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and product managers, and be open to sharing ideas and knowledge
