Job Description

Position Purpose: 

The HubGrade Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing the HubGrade operations, ensuring efficient workflow, quality standards, and team performance. This role involves coordinating grading activities, leading a team of graders/evaluators, implementing quality control measures, and maintaining communication with stakeholders.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and direct the strategic operations of multiple water and wastewater treatment plants across the region, ensuring optimal performance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technical specialists in analyzing operational and performance data to identify regional trends, improvement opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and execute regional optimization strategies for water and wastewater treatment processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Direct comprehensive technical and commercial evaluations of water and wastewater facilities to maximize cost savings, efficiency gains, and return on investment across the hub.
  • Establish performance monitoring frameworks and KPIs to proactively identify operational issues, track regional performance, and drive accountability.
  • Champion the development and implementation of performance improvement strategies that enhance plant efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with plant operators, management teams, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and implement best practices across all facilities.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of strategic reports to senior leadership on regional performance, cost savings initiatives, optimization outcomes, and investment recommendations.
  • Lead benchmarking initiatives against industry standards and regional peers to establish performance targets and drive competitive advantage.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and resources in executing process improvements, operational excellence initiatives, and capital projects across the hub.
  • Ensure technical guidance, training, and support systems are in place to maintain regulatory compliance while maximizing operational efficiency and team capability.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and safety excellence throughout the organization.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background: 

  • Technical degree with a focus in water or wastewater.
  • 10-years of experience in engineering or plant operations.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong leadership skills.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training: 

  • Water or wastewater operations license preferred (but not required).
