Job Description

Position Description & Accountabilities (North American Procurement Procurement Intern)

This is a full-time,16 month internship/co-op, with an anticipated start date in May, 2026.
As a Procurement Intern with Veolia Water Technologies Solutions, you'll support the purchasing team in selecting and acquiring quality products for the business. Under supervision, you will assist with processing purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, tracking orders, maintaining inventory records, and supporting quality assurance activities. You will gain hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and the purchasing decision-making process.
 

Primary Responsibilities: 
● Assist in researching potential suppliers and quality products and materials. 
● Support the team in building relationships with suppliers and gathering pricing information.
● Help process requisitions and maintain tracking systems to monitor order status. 
● Update inventory records and assist in monitoring stock levels. 
● Support logistics coordination by tracking orders and monitoring delivery schedules.
● Learn to analyze market trends and assist in compiling data for purchasing decisions.
● Coordinate communication between the inventory team, management, and stockroom as needed.
● Assist in inspecting incoming stock quality and documenting any discrepancies.
● Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
● Complete assigned projects and training modules to develop procurement knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with typical office IT tools (spreadsheets, presentation applications etc)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Interest in sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management.
