Basic Job Description:

The MRO Coordinator is a supportive position in the Reliability Department, specifically designed to facilitate the smooth operations of the MRO parts rooms. This role will take on day-to-day operational tasks and assist the MRO Facilitator with broader inventory management and reduction strategies.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):

  • Observes all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, attending EHS meetings when required.

  • Assists with the daily management of the MRO parts room including parts issuance/returns, reorders, and basic inventory tasks.

  • Handles the receiving, shelving, kitting, and delivery of incoming materials.

  • Collaborates with the MRO Facilitator to ensure accuracy in inventory counts and stock levels.

  • Provides customer service locating parts within the storeroom and Maximo and teaches users how to navigate in both environments.

  • Provides rapid response to urgent parts requests, ensuring minimal downtime in maintenance operations.

  • Assists with the organization of the parts room, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and efficient.

  • Communicates effectively with the Maintenance and Facilities team regarding parts availability, lead times, and potential delays.

  • Supports the facilitator in analyzing parts usage trends and suggesting potential stocking adjustments.

  • Assists with the implementation of new inventory management systems or software as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year at a manufacturing facility in the maintenance, reliability, or a related department in good standing.

  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively prioritize tasks.

  • Strong computer skills and possess the ability to learn new programs.

  • Have strong internet search skills, with the ability to search out parts with minimal identifying information.

  • Ability to identify and address common inventory issues, such as stock outs or overstock.

Desired:

  • Experience or training in inventory management or MRO operations.

  • Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and equipment.

  • Previous experience in a supportive role.

  • Knowledge of fundamental inventory management practices, with an emphasis on maintaining an organized and efficient storeroom to support the reliability of plant operations.

  • Familiarity with Reliability-Centered Stocking (RCS) concepts to optimize inventory levels and ensure high availability of critical spares, balancing cost and space constraints with the need for operational readiness.

  • Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles.  The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.  Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range:  $22-27/hr
