Specifically this role is within our Chemical Solutions & Monitoring (CSM) business who supplies industrial water treatment chemicals, monitoring/control equipment and services to industrial customers. Primarily for the control and treatment of scale, corrosion and microbiology within process applications such as boilers, cooling towers, reverse osmosis plants, mining applications, wastewater applications etc.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Manager for our East Zone Australia operations preferably to be based in Sydney or Melbourne. Applicants from Brisbane will also be considered.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a business strategy to deliver profitable growth for Veolia WTS in the Eastern States region comprising NSW, VIC, QLD and TAS market. You will be leading a large team of Account Managers, Growth Leaders and Field Service Engineers/Representatives. You will be accountable for the development & execution of the strategic growth plan for this region aligned to the larger Oceania region strategic plan.
This role will report to the CSM Commercial Leader for Oceania.
Key priorities will be:
develop new innovative strategic growth plans and sales campaigns from identifying opportunities, developing solutions and proposals etc.
develop and maintain a strong pipeline within existing customer base and also targeting new customers and markets.
deliver on KPIs and profitable growth through the currency of innovation
display risk-taking, creativity & innovation to ensure achievement of MTP
motivate and lead your team to deliver on account management excellence and service excellence pillars and measure customer satisfaction through the NPS process
coach and mentor the sales team and service team, lead from the front & create a unified sales and service culture
lead a culture of ethics, quality and EHS
P&L leadership of territory with astute focus on business profitability
The Territory Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organisation, manage complex issues within a functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Science
Ability to travel locally approximately 50% of the time
A minimum of 8 years of experience preferably selling and/or marketing complex solutions and/or technical sales in the water treatment industry with at least 5 years in a direct people management role
Technical knowledge of industrial water treatment applications such as cooling, boiler, RO, mining would be highly favorable.
Strong past track record of leading diverse teams to commercial success in complex market situations
Ability to effectively lead people and operate in a matrix organization
Proven analytical skill set and strategic mindset with strong competence in value proposition analysis and market maps
Excellent written and verbal communication
Demonstrates a keen understanding of basic business operations and organizational levers(systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth
Desired:
Knowledge of general industry trends, competitor product and service offerings
- Business finance knowledge
Experience working at industrial sites (i.e chemical plants, mineral processing plants, refineries) preferred.
Tertiary qualifications with >8 years in area management / leadership
