Job Description
Position Purpose:
Veolia endeavors to increase its presence in micro-electronics water treatment and reuse and is seeks to fill the new position for Business Developer/Operations Manager, The successful candidate demonstrates strong technical, interpersonal and leadership skills to support development efforts and then execute on long term O&M services for the micro-electronics water, wastewater and water reuse systems. This unique position allows the successful candidate to support the initial sales and due diligence process, then lead the execution of the project including mobilization, hiring, training, commissioning or transition up to long term O&M services.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support the business development process including: operating cost development, staffing plans, maintenance budget, process due diligence, proposal development, risk evaluation, contract negotiation.
- Once the project has closed: Relocate to the site location, either temporarily or permanently.
- Responsible for mobilization, hiring, training, commissioning or transition up to long term O&M services with support from Veolia functions (HR, technical, mgmt.)
- Oversee the day-to-day operations at this site including all aspects including operations, maintenance and process.
- Ensures the facility maintains compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and in accordance with design criteria/treatment objectives.
- Leads or co-lead a staff of 20+ individuals including administrative oversight for employee hiring and selection, timekeeping, performance reviews, and personnel development.
- Lead the effort to develop and implement plans to meet customers' requirements for KPIs that may include: production metrics, product quality, cost per unit.
- Promote a working environment to achieve continuous improvement in productivity, customer service, quality (inc. ISO), and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).
- Responsible for annual budget setting for the facility and accountable for reporting financial details.
- Administers client contracts to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction and prompt identification and client notification of scope changes.
- Performs all baseline client relations duties, including routine communications, reporting and meetings and handles resolution of client service problems in a professional manner.
Work Environment:
- Travel and relocation expected.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Engineering or similar technical degree.
- Micro-electronics water/wastewater experience.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management and leadership.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge and firsthand experience in all of the aspects of micro-E water/wastewater operations including: OSHA, SOPs, CMMS, SCADA, laboratory procedures, chemical and reagent use, pumps, tanks, mixers, membranes, thermal process, dewatering, I/X, etc.
- Knowledge of Google Suite of applications.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Team may be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, or perform activities requiring permit to complete.
