Under the supervision of the Process expert and/or Engineering Project Manager, the process engineer develops design of water or wastewater treatment plants in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards and company procedures.
His/her main responsibilities/tasks are as follows:
Reviews project /tender specifications.
Participates in the completion of basic process design, process calculations; finalizes process scheme & equipment for both projects and tenders.
Prepare detailed design calculations, process description, process flow diagram, P&ID, Layout, Line lists, Valve schedules, participate to detailed mechanical drawings review, Equipment technical specifications preparation & O&M manuals.
Calculate Hydraulic profile, Pump Head, Line size as per relevant codes & standards
Participate and assist in technical reviews meeting such as Design Review, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ATEX, Hazardous area classification
Participates in the final selection of equipment.
Communicate and interface with other engineering disciplines involved in the project
Carries out any other duties related to his area of expertise as assigned by his manager.
Chemical or Environmental engineer degree
Minimum 5 year experience in similar position;
Able to design independently, with minor instructions from head of department
