Job Description
Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to assist in the management of various energy projects from initiation through completion. The candidate will help internal teams keep performance on time and budget, and deliver positive results for our clients. The candidate will learn about new customer onboarding, management of ongoing projects, and overall process improvement methods.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist project teams to manage multiple customer-facing initiatives related to customer energy management.
- Help guide and direct internal stakeholders to deliver high quality results related to software deployment, energy metering, and data management, and energy services.
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and support personnel.
- Track project performance.
- Assist in finding creative ways to improve internal processes related to customer onboarding, project tracking and budgeting.
- Support in drafting and editing new sales proposals and supporting documentation.
- Support in consistently aligning project planning, execution, and monitoring/controlling efforts with business value.
- Be exposed to multiple different departments and teams in a matrix environment.
Work Environment:
- The work environment is a professional, business casual office setting located close to mass transit in Boston's Financial District.
- This position may include fieldwork and/or travel.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Background:
- Candidate for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Business Management or other related fields.
- Focus on Project Management.
- General understanding of the energy industry preferred but not required.
- Data analytics experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, vendors and management at all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated and able to drive projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office or GSuite tools.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of technical project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Trello, SmartSheet, JIRA, Agile, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to receive, incorporate, and grow from constructive criticism.
Additional Information
Pay Range: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour.
Benefits: Interns are considered temporary employees. Medical and basic life insurance coverage is available to temporary employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week immediately following 60 days of service. Employees must elect or waive medical coverage within 45 days of their eligibility date. Veolia observes 11 holidays.
