Role Summary:

The Lead Process Engineer is responsible to make decisions on water reuse,
wastewater treatment & Zero Liquid Discharge system process design, arrive at risk
balanced scheme as well as to trouble-shoot projects with effective management
skills. The position requires a combination of technical process design along with
commercial expertise in technical sales & customer relationship with proven track
record to lead process design during both technical proposal preparation and
project execution.

 

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations:

Edit or provide input to Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation
Diagrams and Process Data Sheets in support of design projects
. Provide process flow diagrams for tough to treat waste water,
· Perform Biowin simulation (STP), Heat and Material Balances (ZLD)
· Develop sizing of key process plant equipment like MBR, RO, ZLD etc
· Provide technical field support in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for
integrated flow sheets
· Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
· Document and communicate results of technical data generated
· Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
Present lessons learnt, publish internal tech notes based on lesson learnt
· Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned
projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

Educational Qualification:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

Key Skills required:

Must have competency:
Basic and detailed understanding of biological & zero liquid discharge systems
which includes mass and heat balance, sizing of equipments and detailed
understanding of P&ID.
Should be capable of integrating various unit operations to build a flow sheet for
complex effluents like coke oven etc
Exposure to HAZOP during P&ID review with consultants, perform safety analysis
of P&ID
Capable of handling customer meetings during execution and trouble shooting
Good communication and Presentation skills

Good to have competencies
Exposure to commissioning will be added advantage
Root cause analysis through quality tools
Conceptual understanding of few industries like steel, F&B will be added advantage
Higher education like M.Tech, Ph.D will be added advantage
