Must Have Requirements 

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Experience in preparing Piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), Process flow diagram (PFD), Block flow diagram (BFD), using AutoCAD 2D

  2. Updation of drawings based on redlines, vendor drawings information incorporation in PIDs, PFDs etc is required.

  3. Basic knowledge on preparation of 2D equipment layout, HFD development from equipment list

  4. Ability to understand & incorporate Process Engineers inputs and communicate with them effectively

  5. Ability to compare PFD, PID with Vendor document is preferred

  6. Has good understanding on tagging philosophy, styles and standards.

 

Good to Have Requirements 

  1. Ability to work with additional CAD tools like AVEVA P&ID, BIM, ACC, Smart P&ID,eBASE etc will be useful

  2. Experience working on 3D tools like Solidworks, Plant 3D for layout development will be added advantage but not mandatory

  3. Experience in reviewing P&IDs , layouts for water treatment plants or Oil and gas projects from CAD perspective

  4. Ability to participate in global design reviews, customer meetings

  5. Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies

  6. Knowledge on Design tools, International codes and standards - ASME, DIN, EN, IS, BS, AS etc.

 

Desired characteristics:

 

  •  Minimum 6-8 years AutoCAD  2d P&ID development experience with EPC  background( Preferably in water  /O&G/ petrochemical  industry) is required
  •  Expert 2D AutoCAD tool knowledge is mandatory.
  •  Basic knowledge of instruments, valve , pump types, pipe material of construction etc. is desired
  • Knowledge on ISA (instrumentation society of America) and PIP standards (process industry practice) standards is desired.
  • Experience in 3D tools like AutoCAD Plant3D, Solidworks will be added advantage

Bachelor/Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
